Human Rights Policy

The Group places importance on respect for human rights as a matter of social responsibility and will not infringe on the human rights of others and will take appropriate measures to correct any possible negative impact on human rights that may occur through its business activities. We express our support for and respect for international human rights norms, the International Bill of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization's (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the Children's Rights and Business Principles, and we follow the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in establishing policies and promoting initiatives to respect human rights. We will promote these policies and initiatives in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.

We will comply with the laws of the countries and regions in which we operate, and where there are differences between international human rights norms and local laws, we will strive to comply with internationally recognized standards if the content is more conducive to respect for human rights.

Scope of Human Rights Policy

For Employees

In accordance with international human rights norms and our corporate philosophy, we will promote to all directors and employees of our group the prohibition of discrimination, respect for diversity including race, nationality, ethnicity, creed, gender, social status, religion, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, etc., prohibition of child labor and forced labor, minimum wage, promotion of labor practices, including the provision of a safe working environment and appropriate management of working hours. We also support freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.

For Customers

The Group recognizes that its business activities may have a potentially negative impact on human rights and is committed to respecting the human rights of its customers.

For Suppliers and Business Partners

In addition to striving for responsible procurement activities, we demand that our suppliers and business partners who provide goods and services to our group also respect human rights.

Ongoing Human Rights Due Diligence

In accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Group will conduct human rights due diligence as necessary and continue its efforts to identify, assess, prevent, and mitigate negative human rights impacts of its business activities.

Health Management Policy

The Group strives to improve the quality of life based on physical health, mental health, environmental health, and social health.

Compliance Policy

The CAC Group(CAC Holdings, its subsidiaries and its main affiliates; hereinafter the same), strongly recognizing its social and public responsibility as a corporation, in order to strengthen the understanding and trust of society, defines compliance as “the strict observance of laws, ordinances, and ethical standard, and the improvement of corporate ethics and honesty.” Based on “Five Values ,” the Group’s basic principle of compliance is to establish basic business conduct guidelines for compliance and to put into place and operate a compliance promotion system.

Risk Management Policy

Based on our corporate philosophy of "creating new value with advanced ICT in the global field," our group provides valuable solutions globally that contribute to innovation in various areas of society and business. To this end, we fulfill our social responsibilities and assess and effectively manage the various factors affecting our business objectives. We enhance corporate sustainability by comprehensively assessing risks and addressing them from an organization-wide perspective.

  • Through regular risk assessments, we identify and evaluate risks arising from changes in the business environment and respond to them at the appropriate time
  • By appropriately addressing risks, we prevent the occurrence of major risks, and if risks do materialize, we minimize their impact and prevent their recurrence.
  • Systematically organizing risk management activities and ensuring participation of all officers and employees to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Take appropriate measures to meet legal requirements and internal control requirements of the Corporate Law.

Information Security Policy

Based on our corporate philosophy of "creating new value with advanced ICT on the world stage," our group is committed to providing valuable solutions that contribute to innovation in various areas of society and business on a global scale. To this end, it is our social responsibility to protect the information assets entrusted to us by our customers and the information assets of our group from various threats, such as leakage, falsification, and destruction caused by disasters, accidents, and cyber attacks, as well as to prevent the suspension of operations due to cyber attacks. We also recognize that preventing business stoppages due to cyber-attacks is a social responsibility and an important management issue that leads to customer trust. We also recognize that our information security measures cover the entire supply chain, including domestic and overseas offices and subsidiaries, business partners, and contractors. To achieve these goals, we have established a basic policy for information security, and all employees will work together to ensure information security.

 

Motion of Information Security Risk Management

The Group recognizes information security risk as a management risk for which management should be responsible and has appointed a Chief Information Security Officer to oversee maintaining and improving information security. The Chief Information Security Officer will establish information security policies and other internal regulations and strive to continuously implement and improve information security measures under the leadership of management in accordance with the understanding of information security risk and risk analysis.

Employee Training

Each director and employee of our group understands the importance of information security, complies with the information security policy, and makes daily efforts to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. In addition, the Group will regularly provide the necessary information security education and training to its officers and employees to ensure that its information security efforts are solid.

Management of Outsourced Contractors

When the Group outsources its operations, it will clearly define the requirements related to information security by contract, after thoroughly examining the reliability and information security initiatives of the outsourced company. In addition, we conduct periodic audits and evaluations to confirm that the information security measures of the outsourced company are properly implemented.

Information Security Incident Response

In the event of an information security incident, we shall take appropriate and strict measures, share information, and make a public announcement in cooperation with relevant organizations, to minimize damage to our customers and our Group, to ensure the prompt continuation of our business, and to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

Internal Audit

Internal audits of information security are conducted periodically or irregularly to verify that laws and regulations concerning information security, as well as rules and regulations established by the company, are observed and function effectively in the execution of operations.

AI Basic Policy

Under the CAC Vision 2030, "Evolving into a corporate group that consistently makes a positive impact on society, with technologies and ideas," the CAC group conducts business activities with the aim of enabling people to exercise their diverse imaginative and creative abilities which are unique to humans through the provision of digital technologies.

One of the digital technologies that we are promoting is AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, which we are proposing as a core technology.

In response to the rapid development of AI technology, we have recently established the group’s basic AI policy, which aims to create new value through the utilization of AI technology, while ensuring safety and coexistence with stakeholders.

The Group will continue to contribute to and fulfill its responsibilities to society through the provision of AI and services and the resolution of social issues, while placing emphasis on fairness, safety, and the security of users, aiming to be a trusted presence in society.

AI Innovation through Co-Creation

We will strive for mutual understanding through dialogue with various stakeholders in the development, operation, and utilization of AI. We will also continuously improve AI and promote innovation, keeping in mind the other policies described in this basic policy.

Pursuit of Fairness

To avoid unfair discrimination, bias, or a particular worldview incorporated and reinforced in the AI model through educating AI, we will pay attention to the quality of data for training and consider various settings.

Improvement of Transparency

We will ensure transparency in AI training and operational processes and strive to present the basis for AI decisions in a way that is easy for humans to understand.

Ensuring Safety

Our priority is to ensure safety so that AI does not cause unintended consequences and harm to humans.

Security and Privacy

To prevent unforeseen adverse effects in the use of AI, we will strive to ensure security and respect privacy, and provide AI that our customers can use with a sense of security. 

Human Resource Development

We will contribute to the creation of a better society by fostering human resources who will promote the development, operation, and utilization of AI, and by having these human resources take charge of our business.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We will utilize AI in compliance with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which we operate.
